THE STATE DEPARTMENT IS WELCOMING CUBAN FIRST DAUGHTER MARIELA CASTRO TO THE U.S. THIS WEEK

The State Department Issued A Visa To Mariela Castro, Niece Of Fidel Castro And Advocate For The Castro Regime. “Mariela Castro, a sexologist who heads the Cuban National Center for Sex Education in Havana, is expected to participate in the four-day conference of the Latin American Studies Association, which begins Wednesday in San Francisco. Castro Is In The U.S. For Sexual Diversity Conference Of The Latin American Studies Association (LASA) From May 23 To May 26 In San Francisco And For A New York Public Library Event On International Gay Rights On May 29. “The trip, which kicks off next week when Castro is due to chair a panel on sexual diversity at a conference organized by the Latin American Studies Association, is among several to the United States by prominent Cubans, some with close links to the government. … The LASA International Congress, which includes hundreds of sessions on academic topics, takes place May 23-26 in San Francisco, a city closely associated with the history of the gay rights movement…. Republicans Plan to Pitch Romney to Latinos with Door-to-Door Campaign

Republicans will be going puerta a puerta (door to door) to rally Latinos to turn out to vote – for Mitt Romney, specifically – in November, said Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Priebus said that Republicans have ammunition in their arsenal this time that they did not have in 2008, when Barack Obama scored nearly 70 percent of Latino voters.

That arsenal includes high-profile Hispanic Republicans such as U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, New Mexico Gov. Susana Martínez, and Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval. And there’s Priebus’s longtime recipe – rooted in his political coming-of-age in his native Wisconsin – of pivoting campaigns on fundraising and grassroots outreach….

RNC steps up efforts to engage Hispanic youth

Monday the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced that the launch of Hispanic outreach programs in swing states and states with growing Hispanic populations, including Virginia, New Mexico Florida, Colorado, Nevada and North Carolina.

“We are going to engage Hispanic and Latinos like we never have before,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus during a call with reporters.
